United Airlines plans to introduce several nonstop flights for the upcoming US college football game season, starting in autumn 2024.

In the announcement, which was made on August 20, 2024, the airline said it will be adding more than 20 nonstop flights and 115 large aircraft flights.

“Connecting travelers to the moments that matter most to them is at the core of what we do at United,” Patrick Quayle, United’s SVP of Global Network Planning and Alliances, said in a statement.

The football matches are scheduled to take place throughout autumn 2024 – in September, October, and November – across various cities in the US. The new routes will run on Fridays with return flights scheduled for Sundays, except for one BTR-LAS flight departing on August 31, 2024, and returning on September 2, 2024.

The airline will introduce flights to 30 highly anticipated football cities so fans can attend football games. These will all be serviced by bigger aircraft from United.

The first flight for the event is scheduled to depart on August 31, 2024, linking Baton Rouge (BTR), Louisiana, and Las Vegas (LAS) for a game between the University of Southern California Trojans against the Louisiana State University Tigers.

On November 1, 2024, the last flight will take off from Norman, Oklahoma (OKC) to Baton Rouge (BTR) as the LSU Tigers will face the Oklahoma Sooners.
