Southwest Airlines is set to introduce four domestic routes and three international routes from Austin, Nashville, and Sacramento, commencing early next year.

Starting on March 6, 2025, Southwest will launch four new domestic flight routes, namely Austin-Milwaukee, Austin-Reno, Nashville-Indianapolis, and Sacramento-Tucson. Each of these new routes will be operated by Boeing 737-700 aircraft.

The new Austin-Milwaukee service will run on weekdays only, connecting Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) with Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport (MKE). The Austin-Reno route will connect AUS Airport and Reno-Tahoe International Airport (RNO) but with less frequent flights.

The route connecting Nashville International Airport (BNA) with Indianapolis International Airport (IND) will offer daily flights between the two cities. The carrier is also set to introduce new weekend flights between Sacramento, California, and Tucson, Arizona, which will connect Sacramento International Airport (SMF) with Tucson International Airport (TUS).

Starting from March 8, 2025, Southwest will offer two new international routes, connecting the US and Mexico. The Nashville-Los Cabos route will link BNA Airport with Los Cabos International Airport (SJD), while the Sacramento-Puerto Vallarta route will link SMF Airport with Puerto Vallarta International Airport (PVR). Both flights will operate on Saturdays only.

From the same date, Southwest will also launch a new route between the US and Dominican Republic. The service will link Nashville (BNA) and Punta Cana (PUJ) cities and will operate on Saturdays only.

Additionally, from March 6, 2025, Southwest plans to offer more red eye flights. Passengers will be able to fly overnight flights departing from Denver, San Diego and Sacramento.

Currently, Southwest serves 117 destinations across the US and 10 additional countries.
