Aircraft seating manufacturer RECARO showcased advanced configurations of the R7 Business Class seat at the 2025 Aircraft Interiors Expo (AIX 2025) in Hamburg, Germany, including additional features and settings.
The company demonstrated new technologies and different configurations of the R7 Business Class seat, such as larger space layouts, jet lag prevention systems, active seating solutions and predictive maintenance technologies.

According to RECARO, the different configurations of its R7 design highlights cabin innovation with refined intelligent design, customizable features, and the seamless integration of next-generation technologies.
RECARO’s latest innovation does not only include business class seats. Its R3 long-range economy class seat also offers an improved living space for passengers, providing enhanced legroom and ergonomic support, while being about nearly two kilograms lighter than its predecessor.
In addition, the R4 premium class seat showcases a lightweight design, reducing weight by up to 10% in the baseline configuration.
With sustainability the company’s focus for 2025, RECARO announced that it will focus on qualified sustainable seat features, fishing net literature pocket and recycled cable plates.
