Qatar Airways showcased its latest business class seat model, the ‘Qsuite Next Gen’ at the Farnborough International Airshow (FIA) on July 22, 2024.
Often referred to as the ‘Qsuite 2.0’, ‘Qsuite Next Gen’ is the official name of the upgraded business class seat version of the airline’s award-winning Qsuites, which was recently named the Best Business Class in the AirlineRatings.com 2024 Airline Excellence Awards.
AeroTime was able to take a look at the ‘Qsuite Next Gen’ at the Qatar Airways Discover Lounge at FIA 2024.
The latest business class seats feature more space, along with Panasonic Astrova 4K OLED screens, and a range of ambient mood lighting around the suite which can be customized.
There are two types of Qsuite Next Gen Suites: The Companion Suite which has a face to face window seating configuration, so traveling couples can dine, work, or talk while facing one another, and the Quad Suite, perfect for traveling families, which have fully adjustable monitors.
The suites can turn into fully flat beds, which measure 80” in length, with a width of 27.5”.
“Customer experience and customer satisfaction has been very important to Qatar Airways. Our QSuite has been the benchmark [of customer experience] in the industry for a very long time. We have been able to elevate the benchmark and raise the bar in the industry,” Qatar Airways’ Group Chief Executive Officer, Engr. Badr Mohammed Al-Meer told the media during the unveiling, adding that raising the bar for customer satisfaction was the prime goal in the creation of ‘Qsuite Next Gen.’
