Jetblue has announced plans to open its first ever airport lounges, located at two of its major network nodes in the US East Coast: New York-JFK and Boston Logan International Airport (BOS).
With this move, the US airline continues to strengthen its value proposition for the premium segment of the market.
When JetBlue launched in 2000, it offered an essentially low-cost carrier value proposition. However, its business model has since continued to evolve with the introduction of its signature Mint premium cabin and a multi-tier loyalty program.
As such, the opening of these lounges is in line with this development of JetBlue’s premium offering, while also offering a response to lounge overcrowding at many major US airports.

TrueBlue Mosaic 4 members, and holders of the branded credit card, will be able to bring a guest into the lounge free of charge.
It will also be possible to buy annual access to the lounges independently of the above by purchasing day passes, although they will be subject to availability.
The JFK and Boston lounges will be located at Terminal 5 and Terminal C, respectively. They will feature a full-service bar, private workspaces, fast wi-fi and complimentary food and drinks.
The 8,000 square ft JFK lounge will be the first to open, towards the end of 2025, with the larger, 11,000 square ft Boston lounge following shortly after.
