De Havilland Aircraft of Canada has revealed that ANA Holdings (ANAHD), the parent company of Japanese airline All Nippon Airways, has agreed to purchase seven DHC certified Dash 8-400 aircraft.
The announcement was made on July 22, 2024, during the opening day of the Farnborough International Airshow in the United Kingdom.
“We are pleased to continue to support ANA Group in providing customer service to their passengers,” said Ryan DeBrusk, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for De Havilland Canada. “We look forward to continuing to work with ANA Group for years to come as they take delivery of these aircraft.”
Earlier the same day, DHC committed to buying, refurbishing, and reselling Dash 8-400 aircraft to develop and maintain the Dash 8 aircraft series and address customer needs under the DHC OEM Certified Refurbishment Program. Its main objective is to ensure the Dash 8-400 fleet continues to function effectively. The aircraft will be modified to align with ANA Group’s existing Dash 8-400s and will extend the operational lifespan of its current fleet.
Currently the program is being carried out at the De Havilland Canada cities in Calgary, Alberta, and Victoria, British Columbia. The seven aircraft will be integrated into the ANAHD fleet over the coming years.
