Emirates announced that it will operate a second daily A380 service between Dubai International Airport (DXB) and Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS) in Bali to meet the surge in travel demand to the island during the upcoming peak season.
The additional flights will operate from September 1, 2024 to October 26, 2024. Emirates’ current B777 service, flight EK398/399, between Dubai and Bali will be upgraded to an Airbus A380.
Emirates’ first-ever A380 service to Indonesia was launched on June 1, 2023. The Dubai-based airline said that Bali continues to be one of the most popular tourist destinations in its network and strategic markets in Southeast Asia.
By serving Bali with double A380 flights, Emirates said it will offer more than 2,600 additional weekly seats to and from the island to help accommodate the growing demand during the peak travel season.
The airline said the upgraded second service to Bali will drive more inbound traffic to the popular island destination during one of the busiest times of the year and will offer seamless connections to travelers from Indonesia to Dubai and Emirates’ global network.Â
Emirates first launched its nonstop daily service from Dubai to Bali in 2015, adding to its scheduled flights to Jakarta’s Soekarno–Hatta International Airport (CGK), which began in 1992.
