Delta Air Lines has unveiled a special Centennial-themed edition of collectible trading cards as the airline celebrates its 100th year.

Delta was founded on April 15, 1926, and is the oldest active American commercial airline.

In 2003, the airline began to release trading cards that can be obtained by asking a Delta Air Lines pilot. The very first set featured a limited-edition MD-11 card as part of the aircraft’s retirement in 2004. Since then, Delta has expanded the collection to include seven series and 68 unique cards.

The trading cards have since become popular amongst the trading and flying community, with an under-the-radar following.

For its Centennial edition, Delta has produced over five million cards that are now ready for Delta pilots to share.

Featuring the airline’s special Centennial colors, the cards also feature Delta’s aircraft including the A220-300, 717, 737-800, A321NEO, 757-200, 767-300, A330-900 and the A350.

Delta has said that customers flying via Delta Connection will be able to receive CRJ-900 and E175 cards, depending on the carrier.

“Delta pilots have handed out millions of trading cards over the past 22 years, with over 3 million distributed in 2024 alone,” Ryan Gumm, Senior Vice President of Flight Operations for Delta said in a statement.

“This simple, yet impactful interaction between our pilots and customers elevates and enriches the flight experience – and has created meaningful connections and memorable moments along the way,” Gumm added.
