The newest Cirrus aircraft models, the SR Series G7 and G2+ Vision Jet, have received certification from Transport Canada Civil Aviation (TCCA).

This certification confirms that Cirrus aircraft meets all regulatory standards, including aviation safety, performance and operational requirements, set by the TCCA, according to a press release published on November 12, 2024.

“Pursuing TCCA certification for the newest Cirrus aircraft models underscores our commitment to the Canadian market,” Zean Nielsen, CEO of Cirrus, said. “This certification enables Canadian Cirrus aircraft owners to take delivery of their new Canadian-registered aircraft, further solidifying our presence in the region.”

The SR Series G7 aircraft features an advanced flight deck called the Perspective Touch+. This deck, designed by Garmin, includes two dual 14-inch high-resolution displays and touch controllers, making the flight deck look like a modern command center.

Key features of the Perspective Touch+ system include touchscreen interfaces, high-resolution displays, and new safety systems.

The flight deck “simplifies operations but also significantly reduces pilot workload while enhancing situational awareness for both pilots and passengers,” the press release continued.

The G2+ Vision Jet has a reported 20% takeoff performance gain, creating access to 40% more airports. The Vision Jet can use sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and offers in-flight Wi-Fi.

As of November 2024, Cirrus has delivered more than 10,000 SR Series aircraft and nearly 600 Vision Jets globally.
