Airbus has revealed its order and delivery totals for March 2025, indicating that the European planemaker delivered 71 new aircraft to 37 customers during the month, while it received orders for 211 airplanes for both its narrowbody and widebody ranges.
In terms of new orders for Airbus in March 2025, highlights for Airbus included 50 A320neo family aircraft placed by Jackson Square Aviation on March 11, 2025, with the order being broken down into 17 A320neso and 33 A321neos. Then on March 20, 2025, EVA Air of Taiwan ordered three additional A321neos plus six A350-1000s to add to its existing fleet. Lastly, on March 28, 2025, BOC Aviation, the Singapore-based aircraft lessor, ordered 15 A320neos and 55 A321neos.

However, the most significant orders to note during the month came from as yet ‘undisclosed’ customers. These two separate orders included an agreement reached on March 6, 2025, for six A320neos, six A321neos, and 12 A350s (divided between six -900s and six -1000s). The second undisclosed customer order, placed on March 10, 2025, included a sizeable commitment for 40 A321neos.
While industry speculation would appear to be looking toward airlines in India as the likely two undisclosed customers (IndiGo and Air India), it will be up to Airbus to disclose who the final customers are and when that announcement is made. Both Indian carriers have recently stated that they were in the market to place more orders soon and are already widescale users of Airbus products.
Amid the good news for Airbus, there was also the striking off of an outstanding order for 72 A320neos from another now-defunct Indian carrier, Go First which collapsed in 2023. The figure represents the entire backorder for the low-cost airline but does of course mean that positions on the production line may be freed up for orders from other customers.

With the removal of the Go First orders from its order book, Airbus’ net orders for the first quarter of 2025 stand at 204. In total, the company sold 233 narrowbody jets, ten A330neos, and 37 A350s in March 2025. Accounting for the Go First cancellation plus another for a single A220-100, Airbus sold a net total of 204 aircraft for the first quarter of 2025.
Deliveries update
Turning the attention to deliveries, Airbus said it delivered 71 aircraft in March 2025 from across its range. Breaking this figure down, the company delivered two A330neos and six A350s during the month, with the balance being made up of nine A220-300s and 54 A320neo family aircraft. During the first quarter of 2025, the company delivered 136 new aircraft in total to 49 customers. This breaks down as one A220-100, 16 A220-300s, four A319neos, 37 A320neos, and 65 A321neos.

On the widebody side of the business, the company delivered four A3430neos, eight A350-900s, and a single A350-1000s between January and March 2025.
In February 2024, Airbus delivered 49 aircraft to 28 customers, while Airbus’ Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Guillaume Faury, has previously said the company is targeting “around 820” commercial jet deliveries in 2025. On April 9, 2025, AeroTime reported that Boeing had delivered 130 aircraft in the first quarter of 2025, which is six fewer than its European rival.
