Airbus has secured an order from US-based medical transport service firm Life Flight Network for five new H135 helicopters.
Airbus and Life Flight Network representatives met on October 26, 2026, at the Air Medical Transport Conference (AMTC) in Fort Worth, Texas, to finalize the agreement.
Life Flight Network provides critical emergency care, deploying both rotor-wing and fixed-wing aircraft as well as ground transport across the Pacific Northwest and Intermountain West.
With its latest Airbus order, the US firm has more than doubled its commitment to the H135 aircraft after placing an order for three aircraft in 2025.

“Every investment in our fleet is an investment in the patients and communities who count on us,” Ben Clayton, CEO of Life Flight Network, said. “Across the Pacific Northwest, Intermountain West, and Hawai`i, our crews serve communities separated by mountain ranges, oceans, and vast rural distances. The H135’s advanced safety features and air medical capabilities are well suited to the demands of serving this diverse region.”
Clayton added: “We’re pleased to continue our partnership with Airbus as we invest in the future of our fleet and strengthen access to critical care for the communities we serve.”
Life Flight Network’s current fleet includes the Bell 429, Bell 407GXi, AW119Kx and the Eurocopter EC135. Its fixed wing fleet includes the Pilatus PC-12 NG.
“Life Flight Network provides a vital lifeline to millions of people across the Pacific Northwest, and Airbus is honored by their continued trust in our rotorcraft,” Bart Reijnen, Head of the North America region at Airbus Helicopters, said. “The H135 continues to set the standard for air medical services, combining exceptional reliability, advanced safety technologies, and quiet flight performance so that dedicated clinical teams can carry out their lifesaving work safely and efficiently.”
According to Airbus, there are over 1,500 H135 family helicopters in service worldwide, logging more than eight million cumulative flight hours across medical, law enforcement, and utility configurations.
