Air Canada is set to launch a new seasonal route between Canada and Scotland: a direct service between Montréal–Trudeau International Airport (YUL) and Edinburgh Airport (EDI).
The flights are scheduled to operate three times weekly during the peak summer season, running from June 27, 2025 until September 7, 2025.
The flights, which will be flown using the Canadian flag carrier’s fleet of Boeing B737 MAX 8, are set to operate on the following schedules:
Flight AC936 departing Montreal 21:50 local time, arriving Edinburgh 09:15 local time (Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays)
Flight AC937 departing Edinburgh 11:15 local time, arriving Monreal 13:35 local time (Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays)
The B737 MAX 8 will offer a dual-class configuration, with 16 seats in premium economy and 153 in economy.
The new Montreal to Edinburgh route is in addition to the carrier’s existing daily service between Edinburgh and Toronto Pearson International Airport (YTO) . According to Air Canada, it is the only connection between Scotland and Montréal.
Air Canada’s Senior Director of sales, Europe, the Middle East and Africa, Margaret Skinner said: “Edinburgh has always been an important market for Air Canada, thanks to strong business, tourism, and cultural ties between Scotland and Canada, so we are proud to be expanding our presence in the market by adding a second route for 2025.”
