Air Astana to launch seasonal A321LR service from Almaty to Nha Trang, Vietnam

Air Astana announced that it will introduce a new seasonal route between Almaty International Airport (ALA) and Cam Ranh International Airport (CXR) in Nha Trang, Vietnam.

The new route will be operated during the Spring – Summer schedule of 2025 starting March 30, 2025. The Kazakhstan flag carrier said the new route will temporarily take the place of its Almaty to Phu Quoc International Airport (PQC), which will resume operations during the Autumn-Winter schedule of 2025.

The four times weekly flights will operate on two different schedules:

KC193 Almaty-Cam Ranh: Departure at 23:35, arrival at 09:20 the following day

KC194 Cam Ranh-Almaty: Departure at 10:50, arrival at 16:45 

KC157 Astana-Cam Ranh: Departure at 23:00, arrival at 09:20 the following day

KC158 Cam Ranh-Astana: Departure at 10:50, arrival at 17:50 

All departure and arrival schedules are local times. The eight-hour flights will be operated using Air Astana’s Airbus A321LR fleet.

Located in Southern Vietnam, Nha Trang is a coastal city that is known for its beaches, diving sites, and seafood restaurants. The city is surrounded by mountains and the bay of South China Sea.

On August 21, 2024, Kazakhstan President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Vietnam President Vo Van Thuong signed a bilateral agreement allowing Kazakhstani and Vietnamese citizens to travel to both countries without a visa for up to 30 days.
