Vueling, the low-cost carrier belonging to the International Airlines Group (IAG), has unveiled a special livery dedicated to the Football Club Barcelona (FCB) women’s soccer team.
The livery has been applied to one of Vueling’s A320ceo aircraft (registration EC-LZN). It depicts six of the teams’ stars: Aitana Bonmatí, who won the prestigious Ballon D’Or trophy for the best female player in 2024 and 2023, and Alexia Putellas, who won the same award in 2022 and 2021, as well as their team-mates Salma Paralluelo, María León, Caroline Graham-Hansen and Patri Guijarro and the motto “Dream, Play, Fly”.
The aircraft’s cabin has also been decorated with football-themed motifs. For example, FCB-branded elements have been added to headrests and overhead baggage bins, and the aisle has been covered in a grass-like green to resemble a football pitch.
This is the second livery that the Barcelona-based airline has dedicated to the FCB female football team, which is currently one of the top sides in Europe, having won the last five editions of the Spanish championship as well as the latest two editions of the European Champions League. The previous livery dedicated to the FC Barcelona female soccer team had been unveiled in April 2024.
Vueling, which is an official partner of its hometown football club, will use the specially adorned aircraft to fly the team on its away games, starting with a trip from Barcelona-El Prat (BCN) to Madrid-Barajas (MAD) on November 16, 2024.
