United Nigeria Airlines (UNA) Embraer ERJ-145 skidded off runway upon landing at Murtala Mohammed Airport 2 airport in Lagos, Nigeria.
The regional jet had departed from the airport in Abakaliki, Ebonyi state, Nigeria, with 50 passengers on board.
Upon arrival at Murtala Mohammed Airport 2 in Lagos, Nigeria, the ERJ-145 veered off runway 18L during the landing, eventually coming to a stop on soft ground with the nose gear collapsed.
Video circulating on social media shows passengers disembarking an aircraft after the incident.
The airline has confirmed the incident and stated that there were no casualties during the May 31st incident.
“We are grateful to report that all passengers and crew on board the United Nigeria Airlines aircraft involved in the incident are safe,” the airline said in a statement.
The aircraft involved in the incident is a 21-year-old Embraer ERJ-145, registered as 5N-BWW.
