Sustainable Aero Lab is to hold its first ever ‘Sustainable Aero Festival’ in Amsterdam, the Netherlands on December 2-3, 2024.
This event, which will be attended by AeroTime, aims to bring together many of the thought leaders in the aviation sustainability space. To this end, over the course of two days participants will network and discuss the different technologies and policies which are currently being designed, and in some cases implemented.
“The Sustainable Aero Festival will be about honest insights into the future of flight, new personal contacts with industry changemakers, and inspiration on how the future of aviation will look.” explained to AeroTime Lukas Kastener, co-founder and Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) of Sustainable Aero Lab.
Among the attendees will be C-level representatives of companies and organizations such as Embraer, KLM and RTX, plus EU Clean Aviation, the EU’s body supporting the industry’s decarbonization.
Since Hamburg-based Sustainable Aero Lab is primarily a startup accelerator, the Sustainable Aero Festival is clearly geared towards connecting startups working on sustainable aviation projects with venture capital and the broader investment community.
Not for nothing, then, will early-stage investors in clean energy technologies such as JetBlue Ventures, the investment arm of the eponymous US airline, and Breakthrough Energy, a venture capital firm which is backed by Bill Gates, also have a prominent presence in Amsterdam.
AeroTime is a media partner of Sustainable Aero Festival and will be reporting from the event.
