Qatar Airways to launch flights to Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo

Qatar Airways announced the launch of its latest route addition: direct flights to N’Djili International Airport (FIH) in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) from Doha International Airport (DOH).

The airline said the expansion aims to enhance the frequency and capacity of flights to Luanda International Airport (LAD) in Angola. The addition of Kinshasa will increase the number of destinations in Africa served by Qatar Airways to 29. 

The new route, which will begin in June 2024, will be served by the airline’s fleet of Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft, equipped with 22 business class seats and 232 economy class seats. 

The flights, including onward connections to Luanda, will operate on the following schedules:

Flight QRQ1491 Depart Doha  02:45 local time / arrive at Kinshasa 08:10 local time 

                           Depart Kinshasa 09:40 local time/  arrive at Luanda 10:55 local time 

      Depart Luanda   12:25 local time /arrive at Doha 22:50 local time

Flight QRQ1489 Depart Doha 09:20 local time / arrive at Luanda 15:40 local time

                            Depart Luanda 17:10 local time / arrive at Kinshasa 18:25 local time

       Depart Kinshasa 19:55 local time / arrive at Doha 05:45 local time

“The inclusion of Kinshasa in our network is the latest manifestation of our efforts to improve connectivity to Africa. Qatar Airways has showcased its commitment to the region by providing passengers in Africa with greater choice to explore different corners of the world through our network and our hub in Doha, Hamad International Airport,” Qatar Airways Chief Commercial Officer Thierry Antinori said in a statement.
