All-business class airline Beond announced the lease and receipt of its second aircraft, an Airbus A321, to serve its customers to and from its hub in the Maldives.
Beond said the A321 is currently undergoing a reconfiguration to seat 68 passengers in premium, all-lay flat seating. The aircraft will sport Beond’s signature dark gray and copper livery.
In November 2023, Beond successfully launched commercial passenger services from Munich Airport (MUC), Zurich Airport (ZRH), and Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport (RUH) to Velana International Airport (MLE) in Male, Maldives with the airline’s first aircraft, an A319. The aircraft seats 44 in an all-lay flat configuration.
The second aircraft will support Beond’s expansion from Milan Malpensa Airport (MXP), Dubai International Airport (DXB), and Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi International Airport (BKK) to the Maldives in mid-2024.
“We are pleased to accept delivery of our second aircraft. Our new customers in Milan, Dubai, and Bangkok will be impressed to see this stunning aircraft at their home airports, and they’ll be thrilled at the service from the start to finish of their journey,” Beond’s Chairman and CEO, Tero Taskila said in a press statement.
“We are firmly on track to operate 32 luxurious aircraft with a private jet feel within the next five years, delivering on the promise of our ground-breaking business model in the airline industry and pioneering experience for passengers. Beond team’s decades of experience has allowed us to build the best experience in the sky,” Taskila added
