Fokker Services Asia, a subsidiary of Fokker Services Group (FSG), has obtained Part 145 Maintenance Organization Approval from the Australian Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) to offer aircraft maintenance services for the Embraer E190 Series at its Seletar Airport (XSP) facilities in Singapore.

“Obtaining the new E190 Family aircraft capability represents a great milestone in our company,” Thomas Kennedy, Managing Director of Fokker Services Asia said in a press release. “We are thankful to all our business partners for supporting the efforts to develop this capability on time and on target.”

This certification grants FSG the authority to carry out heavy maintenance, base maintenance, and lease transition services, specifically catering to Embraer E190 aircraft registered in Australia.

The acquisition of this certification allows FSG to serve customers in Australia for Fokker, ATR, and now Embraer aircraft.

“It represents an opportunity to establish a brand-new service line for Embraer operators in Asia Pacific, as the E-Jet Family of aircraft expand within the region,” the company said.

The history of Fokker Services dates back to the early 20th century. The company’s origins can be traced to its founder, Anthony Fokker, a Dutch aviation pioneer who founded the aircraft manufacturer of the same name. While the manufacturing arm of Fokker ceased to exist, Fokker Services emerged as a separate entity focused on providing maintenance, repair, and support services for existing Fokker aircraft and other platforms.
