The first A320neo to sport the livery of Transavia, the low-cost subsidiary of the Air France-KLM group, has been spotted at Toulouse-Blagnac airport (TLS) fresh from the paint shop.

Local Toulouse spotter Cliper31 has posted a photo showing the brand-new aircraft, still without engines and showing test registration F-WWDD.

The arrival of Airbus A320-family aircraft to Transavia should be quite a seismic shift for the airline, which has been an all-Boeing operator for most of its recent history.

This aircraft is part of a 100-strong A320neo-family order, options for an additional 60 aircraft, placed by Air France-KLM in December 2021. This order is due to be shared between Transavia and KLM, another primarily Boeing operator, in proportions that have not yet been disclosed.

Transavia operated Airbus aircraft in a limited fashion (with only four aircraft) between 2013 and 2105, as well as, briefly, A300 and A310 aircraft in the late 1970s and 1990s, respectively, when it was exclusively a charter airline.
