Eviation is one of the pioneering startups in the field of electric aviation.
Founded in 2015 when electric aviation was an extremely small market niche that barely received any attention, Eviation has been diligently working on the development of a sleek, all-electric aircraft that it calls “Alice”.
Almost a decade later, in which the company saw several management changes and concept design iterations, Eviation is getting closer its goal of launching a nine-seater battery-powered aircraft.
Eviation’s Alice completed its first, and, so far, only, test flight in September 2022, but little more has been heard about the program since then.
Andre Stein took over the reins of the company in December 2023. Brazil-born Stein is an industry veteran, who, prior to taking the top job at Eviation, used to lead EVE, Embraer’s listed advanced air mobility spin-off.
During the Revolution.aero conference, which took place in London, United Kingdon, on June 18-19, 2024, AeroTime spoke with Stein, who shared the latest developments at Eviation and the progress of its Alice program.
