Embraer’s aircraft delivery numbers continue to grow

Embraers delivery volumes have continued to grow in 2023

Delivery numbers for Brazil-based aircraft manufacturer Embraer have continued to increase throughout 2023. 

In total, the plane-maker delivered 62 aircraft since January 1, 2023, whereas during Q2 2023, it handed over just 47 aircraft. Out of those, the Brazilian manufacturer delivered 24 commercial aircraft and 38 executive jets during the first six months of the year. 

“The second quarter deliveries were 47% higher than in the same period from 2022. In the first half of 2023, the volume has increased 35% compared to 2022, when 46 jets have been delivered,” Embraer commented on the results. 

Compared to Q2 2022, delivery volumes grew by 55% in the commercial aircraft sector. 

During the second quarter of the year, customers received 7 Embraer E195-E2 and 10 E175 aircraft, while Embraer delivered five and two aircraft respectively of the same types during Q1 2023. In terms of private jets, Embraer delivered the largest volume of Phenom 300s, with 22 Year-to-Date (YTD) deliveries, 18 of which were during Q2 2023.

Currently, Embraer’s commercial aircraft backlog includes 271 aircraft, including 82 E175s, 16 E190-E2s, and 175 E195-E2s. During the quarter, which also included the June 2023’s Paris Air Show, the Brazilian plane-maker secured more than a dozen orders for its aircraft. 

Those orders included airlines and lessors, with American Airlines (for Envoy Air), Binter SKS Airways, and lessors Avolon and Azorra, ordering Embraer’s products during 2023. 

At the end of Q2 2023, Embraer’s total firm backlog was valued at $17.3 billion.
