The wing of a B757 aircraft owned by former US President Donald Trump struck a parked aircraft at an airport in Florida.
The incident occurred on May 12, 2024, when Trump’s B757, with a registered tail number of N757AF, had just arrived at West Palm Beach International Airport (PBI) at around 01:20 local time.
According to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the B757’s winglet struck an unoccupied corporate jet.
“A privately owned Boeing 757 landed safely at West Palm Beach International Airport around 1:20 a.m. local time on Sunday, May 12. While taxiing, its winglet contacted a parked and unoccupied corporate jet. The incident occurred in an area of the airport where the FAA does not direct aircraft. The FAA is investigating,” the FAA said in its incident record.
Trump’s private B757 is priced at $100 million. It was purchased in 2011 and has 43 seats, with a main bedroom, guest suite, dining room, VIP area and custom galley. The aircraft is decked out in 24-karat gold fixtures, including the seat belt buckles.
