The Bombardier Global 7500 executive jet has smashed over 75 speed world records as the fleet of nearly 200 aircraft cruise around the globe.
On November 21, 2024, Bombardier announced that the Global 7500 had clocked multiple new records on routes that include Miami to São Paulo, Tokyo to Los Angeles, Tokyo to San Jose and Jeddah to London.
Three of the speed records highlighted by Bombardier were a flight between Los Angeles and Auckland in 11 hours and 55 minutes, a Tokyo-Hong Kong flight in three hours and 40 minutes and New Delhi to Tokyo in just seven hours.
“These new speed records continue to demonstrate that the Global 7500 is the proven and undisputed class leader and most capable business jet, transporting our customers to distant destinations quickly and efficiently,” said Jean-Christophe Gallagher, Executive Vice President, Aircraft Sales and Bombardier Defense.
Gallagher added: “What’s even more impressive about these records is that they are being achieved on routine flights, including some with passengers on board. We have repeatedly had the pleasure of having existing and potential customers on board for some of these record-breaking routes.”

The Bombardier Global 7500 was first introduced in December 2018 and to date the fleet has clocked more than 200,000 flight hours.
The Global 7500 private jet boasts a top speed of Mach 0.925 and a basic range of 7,700 nautical miles (14,260 km).
Construction of the Bombardier Global 8000 aircraft is underway at company facilities in Canada, the United States and Mexico, and the program is progressing as planned, with entry into service expected in 2025.
The Global 8000 will offer a range of 8,000 nautical miles and a top speed of Mach 0.94, making it the fastest executive jet in the world.
