Footage from inside the cockpit of a Red Arrow jet flying in formation over London in the United Kingdom (UK) has been released by the Royal Air Force (RAF).
The video was released following celebrations for King Charles III’s Coronation on May 6, 2023.
A Coronation flypast featuring aircraft from the British Armed Forces was sadly scaled back after bad weather meant some of the planes could not take part.
However, crowds who had arrived in London to take part in festivities and the waiting Royal Family were treated to a flypast by some aircraft including Juno HT1 helicopters and the world-famous Red Arrows.
In the footage released on social media the Red Arrows can be seen with red, white and blue vapor trails as the display team fly over the streets of London.
Two Red Arrow Hawks are positioned to the right and two to the left of the pilot in the video.
The jets roar as they pass Canary Wharf, one of London’s business districts, and approach the River Thames.
A post accompanying the footage reads: “This was the view of #London from our aircraft this afternoon. The #RedArrows were honored to join others from across the Royal Air Force and Armed Forces taking part in celebrations marking the Coronation of Their Majesties the King and Queen.”
On May 8, 2023, the aerobatic display team flew at Cerklje in Slovenia to support the Slovenia-UK Friendship Day.
Members of the Red Arrows met Slovenia’s Minister for Defence Marjan Šarec, and the UK’s Ambassador to Slovenia, Tiffany Sadler.
