Airbus has announced its new order and delivery numbers for October 2024, surpassing the deliveries made in September 2024.

The company reported that it received orders for 82 new aircraft in October 2024, consisting of both single-aisle and widebody aircraft. So far in 2024, the number of orders totals 749 aircraft, namely 549 single-aisle, 64 A330s and 136 A350s. The A320neo family continues to be the most popular choice worldwide, according to the manufacturer.

In terms of new aircraft deliveries, the manufacturer delivered 62 aircraft to 37 customers in October 2024, marking an increase from the 50 aircraft delivered in September 2024.

As of October 2024, there are 13,936 Airbus aircraft flying around the world. This total includes 11,170 single-aisle aircraft, showing a high demand for Airbus’s narrowbody models. In the widebody category, there are 1,469 A330s and 622 A350s, along with 259 A300/A310s, 193 A340s, and 223 A380s.

Airbus aims to deliver 770 new aircraft in 2024. So far, the planemaker has delivered 559 aircraft, which means that the company still needs to deliver 221 to reach its goal.

The need for air travel has never been greater, with five billion people expected to fly in 2024. Airbus predicts that in the next 20 years, there will be a demand for more than 42,000 new aircraft. Out of these, 18,460 are to replace older aircraft.
