Airbus and Abu-Dhabi-based renewable energy firm Masdar have signed an agreement that will see the two companies collaborate on the development of a wide range of sustainability-boosting technologies.

Although few specific details have been released, Masdar revealed in a LinkedIn post that the wide-encompassing agreement would cover the development of sustainable aviation fuels (SAF), green hydrogen and direct carbon capture projects. It will also focus on the further promotion of book and claim solutions as another formula to advance the adoption of green aviation technologies.

The UAE Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, Chairman of Masdar and #COP28 President-Designate, Dr. Sultan Al Jaber and the CEOs of both Airbus and Masdar, Guillaume Faury and Mohamed Jameel Al Ramahi, were present at the signing on May 16, 2023.
