Latvian flag carrier airBaltic just launched a new cabin crew recruitment campaign as it looks to hire more than 100 new members in 2023.

“This year, the airline will continue to purposefully grow – in terms of the fleet, flights, passengers, destinations, and, of course, the amount of employees,” Alīna Aronberga, senior vice president human resources at airBaltic said.

“Providing a smooth flight experience and an excellent service is largely dependent on a professional cabin crew, as these people accompany passengers on both short and long journeys and take care of their well-being,” Aronberga added.

The airlines said that it currently employs cabin crew of 30 different nationalities, including 50 Ukrainian nationals who joined since the beginning of the 2022 Russian occupation of Ukraine.

The airline requires its cabin crew applicants to be high school graduates at minimum. Work benefits include visa fees, medical check-ups that are work related, and accident and health insurance.

The airline is scheduled to hold online cabin crew recruitment days on March 7 and 9, 2023.

In August 2022, airBaltic allowed cabin crew, pilots, and ground staff to display their tattoos and piercings, and has loosened the restrictions around hairstyles.
