With the arrival of Christmas month, Air New Zealand has launched a special video to ensure that anyone traveling with the airline over the holiday season has a stress-free and enjoyable travel experience. The video forms part of a broader campaign by the airline to persuade people to plan ahead to ensure a hassle-free festive journey.

Described as “high-flying action meets festive fun,” Air New Zealand’s video follows one of the company’s flight attendants undertaking a challenging mission through an airport terminal to reunite a family with a gift package left behind on one of the carrier’s flights.

Blending a story of high drama with action-packed stunts and a festive message, the video follows Air New Zealand flight attendant Shanti Tucker as she battles her way past numerous obstacles while maintaining an air of professionalism as she tracks down the owner of the lost package.

Without wishing to spoil the video’s conclusion, Tucker goes above and beyond the call of duty in her audacious attempt to reunite the gift with its rightful owner. You get the picture if you imagine a Hollywood blockbuster shot in a bustling airport terminal.

Air New Zealand says the action-packed film demonstrates its commitment to creating “unforgettable moments for its customers, especially during the busy Christmas season.”

“On Christmas day alone, more than 30,000 customers will be flying with Air New Zealand,” said Air New Zealand’s Chief Customer and Sales Manager Leanne Geraghty. “We want to ensure each and every one of them has an incredible experience. We know that just like in our video, our entire team will go above and beyond to create exceptional moments of magic no matter what obstacles come flying their way.”

In the video, Tucker is seen speeding through the crowded terminal, sliding down an escalator, and narrowly avoiding a collision with some wayward Christmas candy canes.

Explaining the concept behind the video, Tucker said that shooting the video was an unforgettable experience.

“While our customers won’t have to dodge the same obstacles at the airport when they head away this Christmas, there are a few things they can do to ensure a smooth, stress (and stunt) free experience. Arriving a little earlier than usual, checking in online, and packing your patience always helps!” Tucker said.

“As an Air New Zealand flight attendant, our job includes caring for our customers and providing excellent service, but this year’s campaign brings a new meaning to that. While we might not be sliding through doors in the name of service, remember, the Air New Zealand team is always here to help,” the flight attendant added.

Top tips for stress and stunt-free Christmas travel, according to Air New Zealand, include allowing extra time to travel and plan ahead, being prepared for airport security, packing essentials in hand luggage, and checking your seat before leaving the aircraft so you too don’t leave any valuable personal items behind.

Lastly, the airline recommends all travelers download its app to keep updated with travel updates and flight information over the holiday season.
