An Air Canada flight was canceled when one of its flight attendants seemingly lost her patience  with a passenger who reportedly asked for a blanket.

Flight AC 73 was scheduled to fly from Casablanca’s Mohammed V International Airport (CMN) to Montréal–Trudeau International Airport (YUL) on July 26, 2024.

The Airbus A330-343 aircraft, registered as C-GHLM, was preparing for departure and taxiing, when the incident took place.

A video clip of the incident, which has now gone viral after being shared across social media, shows the flight attendant visibly enraged and yelling at passengers.

She can be heard speaking in both English and French, telling passengers:

“You will behave or we will get off!”

“I’ll tell the captain right away. Yes or no?”

“I don’t want no bullying against my crew.”

According to Montreal’s CTV News, the flight attendant’s yelling was triggered by a passenger who reportedly requested a blanket.

While it is likely that something else would have contributed to the outburst,  the flight was nevertheless canceled.

Air Canada confirmed the incident and told CTV News that it is taking the incident “very seriously”.

“It is under review, and we will take appropriate action. We apologize to our customers and deeply regret that their experience today fell far short of what they have come to expect when flying with Air Canada,” an airline spokesperson said.

The airline also said a flight with a different crew would depart from Casablanca for Montreal the following day. Air Canada also offered affected passengers compensation for the delay and the incident.
