Aerolíneas Argentinas is to receive 12 Embraer E195-E2 aircraft to replace part of its existing E-190 fleet.

The first of these new aircraft will arrive in 2024, with deliveries continuing all the way through to 2026. By replacing older E-190 models with the E2 version, Aerolíneas Argentinas expects to lower its fuel consumption by 13.8%, with an accompanying drop of related carbon emissions.

The airline also expects that the additional capacity afforded by the larger E-195 E2s will result in a 16% revenue increase compared to the current Embraer fleet.

This aircraft order arrives amidst a fleet renewal process that has seen Aerolíneas Argentinas take delivery of an Airbus A330-200 and a Boeing 737-8 MAX this same week. With these two new arrivals, the Argentinian flag carrier’s fleet has reached a total of 84 aircraft, the largest in its history.
