Californian-based luxury airline Aero has announced the launch of scheduled flights between Los Angeles and Las Vegas starting in December 2024. The flights will be operated by Aero’s exclusive fleet of Embraer ERJ-135 aircraft that offer passengers the chance to experience private jet luxury albeit on a commercial scheduled flight.

Starting on December 27, 2024, customers will be able to fly on the Aero all-black jets from Van Nuys Airport (VNY) in Los Angeles and Harry Reid International Airport (Las) in Las Vegas. Flights will operate on Fridays and Sundays, offering travelers the chance to depart one city and spend the weekend in the other.

The flights are scheduled to depart Van Nuys at 14:30 on Fridays and arrive in Las Vegas at 15:35. The return leg sees the aircraft leave Las Vegas at 16:30 and land back at Van Nuys at 17:35. On Sundays, the flight departs Van Nuys at 10:30 arriving at 11:35 and returns at 12:30 arriving back at Van Nuys at 13:35. Noting the link between the number seven being considered as lucky and Las Vegas, initial fares are prices at $777 one way.

Aero offers travelers an upgraded air travel experience and aims to bridge the gap between commercial first-class travel and private jets. It offers its passengers high-quality inflight catering featuring special seasonal menus from Erewhon, the renowned Los Angeles grocer, as well as a free onboard bar service.

Passengers can also enjoy complimentary Starlink Wi-Fi while benefitting from a luggage policy that allows travelers to fly with two checked bags including oversized sports equipment such as golf clubs. Aero is also a dog-friendly airline, allowing passengers’ pets to travel in the cabin with them.

“With this new service, Aero is bringing back the style of traveling to a destination synonymous with glamor,” said Ben Klein, CEO at Aero. “The experience of flying Aero is seamless and elegant. It is the ideal way to travel to a destination like Las Vegas. Our new service takes inspiration from the Golden Age of Hollywood when stars would jet between Los Angeles and Las Vegas for a weekend of glitz and the kind of escape that only Las Vegas can provide. Jetting to Vegas on Aero means that the fun will begin the moment guests arrive at our private airport terminal,” he added.

Kicking off the new service to Las Vegas, Aero has also announced a special ‘Jet In, Jet Out’ flight from Van Nuys to Sin City taking passengers to the famous Las Vegas F1 Grand Prix being held on November 23, 2024. Passengers on this special service will leave Vany Nuys at 17:05 arriving at 18:10 in time for the start of the race.

The carrier currently flies from its Van Nuys Airport base to airports in Napa, Sun Valley, Aspen, Palm Springs, and Los Cabos. According to ch-aviation, Aero operates a fleet of four Embraer ERJ-135s each of which seats just 16 passengers in a 1-1 cabin configuration. The company also operates a single Embraer Legacy 600 which seats 12 passengers.
