Multiple videos showing Azerbaijani Bayraktar TB2 combat drones striking Armenian targets has surfaced online after hostility between the countries resumes.
The border, dormant since the ceasefire that concluded the 2020 Azerbaijan-Armenia war, erupted on September 13, 2022.
Armenian officials accused Azerbaijan of unprovoked attack after shells and missiles began to strike Armenia’s military and civilian infrastructure along the border, followed by an advance by Azerbaijani troops.
Meanwhile, Azerbaijan has accused Armenia of staging “large-scale provocations”.
The videos, reminiscent of those published during the 2020 war, began to appear online shortly after hostilities resumed. Much of the footage show strikes by Bayraktar TB2 drones, supplied to Azerbaijan in large numbers by Turkey.

While the 2020 war was largely fought over the contested territory of Nagorno-Karabakh, the latest clashes are taking place across the entire length of the border between the two countries, with some attacks being reported in the northern part of Armenia.
Nagorno-Karabakh became one of the first conflicts with widespread and well-publicized use of Turkish-made drones, leading to numerous countries, including Ukraine, choosing to purchase them.
