EVA Air, the Taipei-based carrier, will launch non-stop flights to Milan in Italy and Munich in Germany later in 2022, its first European expansion in 25 years.

The Taiwanese airline will start services to Milan from Taipei on October 25, 2022 while Munich flights will begin on November 3, 2022. The routes will be operated by Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.

In Europe, EVA Air currently flies nonstop to Paris and Vienna and operates to London and Amsterdam via Bangkok.

“The added service will give business and leisure travelers more itinerary opportunities when they choose to arrive in one city and return from another,” the airline commented in a statement on July 5, 2022.

EVA Air had planned to launch the Milan route in February 2020 but the COVID-19 pandemic delayed its plans.
