The fist picture of the Boeing 787 Dreamliner intended for Lufthansa (LHAB) (LHA) has been spotted in Seattle, sporting the German flag carrier’s livery.
The photo of the jet, registered as D-ABPA, was posted by Paine Field blog on May 16, 2022. It was taken as the aircraft was moved out of the paint hangar in preparation for a flight test.

Named ‘Berlin’, it is expected to be the first of Lufthansa’s (LHAB) (LHA) 25 Dreamliners which were ordered in May 2021.
The aircraft had been scheduled for delivery in late 2021-early 2022, but the production encountered an avalanche of problems that led to a halt in deliveries.
The significant monetary loss Boeing took in FY 2021 was partially blamed on the 787, and numerous airlines expressed dissatisfaction with quality control and other issues with the type.
