Ukraine’s latest military support package will include cargo drones, United Kingdom authorities have announced.

The package includes electronic warfare equipment, a counter battery radar system, GPS jamming equipment, heavy-lift supply drones and thousands of night vision devices,” the UK Prime Minister announced in a Twitter post on May 3, 2022.

It has not yet been revealed which drones will be delivered, but British media outlet Sky News pointed out that Malloy Aeronautics T150 are the most likely candidates.

The model has been tested and is currently in use by the Royal Marines. It can carry up to 68 kilograms of payload, has a range of 70 kilometers and a cruise speed of more than 30 meters per second, according to the manufacturer.

Both Malloy Aeronautics and the UK military position the drone as perfect for safely delivering cargo, such as supplies and ammunition, to the frontlines.

However, since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine both regular and irregular Ukrainian forces have been observed using commercially available drones to drop improvised anti-armor and anti-personnel munitions on Russian troops, hinting at the possibility of combat use for the T150.
