Chinese media is reporting on March 27, 2022, that the missing black box from the MU5735 flight has been recovered. The device is believed to be the Flight Data Recorder (FDR).
The first black box, believed to be Cockpit Voice Recorder (CVR), was found with a severely damaged exterior on March 23, 2022.
The news about finding the second flight recorder comes six days after China Eastern passenger aircraft, on a flight from Kunming to Guangzhou, plunged to the ground crashed in the Guangxi mountains, in southern China, on March 21, 2022.
The Boeing 737-800, registered B-1791, was carrying 132 people. On March 26, Chinese authorities confirmed that there were no survivors among the 123 passengers and nine crew who were onboard.
