AeroTime has today announced a new partnership with Aeroclass, a leading aviation e-learning platform.

The new partnership will enable AeroTime readers to access Aeroclass online aviation training courses, which help build and expand aviation-specific knowledge in a variety of professional services like legal, marketing, customer services and HR.

Announcing the partnership, AeroTime CEO and Editor in Chief Richard Stephenson said: “I am delighted to enter into this partnership with Aeroclass. We want to do everything we can to help our existing industry professionals and to encourage and inspire the next generation to join us. Excellent training is a key part of this.”

Aeroclass launched with the goal to provide online training for people who seek a flexible way to build or advance their professional services careers in the aviation sector. The company brings a team of leading aviation experts from across different industry areas, including civil aviation, airline operations, management, marketing, HR, group operations, cargo, airport management, law and aviation regulations.

“Aeroclass set out with a vision to educate professionals across aviation, and we are thrilled to launch this partnership with AeroTime which will help us spread our message and reach the key professionals in the aviation sector who can benefit from upskilling or learning a new trade,” Aeroclass CEO, Lukas Rasciauskas said.

AeroTime alongside Aeroclass is dedicated to encouraging and training the aviation sector and the next generation of professionals who choose a career path in the aviation industry.

The new joint venture comes at a time when the industry is recovering from the COVID-19 pandemic.

Under normal circumstances, aviation and tourism industries support 87.7 million jobs worldwide, according to an Airports Council International (ACI) report. And over 11 million jobs are within the sector itself, employed at airlines, airports, civil aerospace manufacturers and air traffic management.

But analysis by Oxford Economics working with ATAG, IATA, ACI World, and CANSO revealed that about 2.3 million jobs supported by aviation in 2020 were lost and 44.6 million jobs were at risk. The crisis caused by the pandemic did not only affect pilots and cabin crew but also all levels of the industry-specific disciplines, including aviation lawyers, managers, communication, HR and customer support specialists.

In order to support the aviation community during these difficult times, AeroTime launched the My Covid Story campaign, documenting memories and experiences from the time of the pandemic and featuring a wide variety of stories of aviation professionals.

Through this campaign we saw how many aviation professionals turned to education and training. Having lost their original job, many turned to other sectors, but some remained in aviation taking on new roles.

For example, in his Covid story, a trained pilot Khaled Fakhra, recounted how he started a new position as an aviation sales representative at an air charter company at the height of the pandemic in 2020. Khaled used his time during the pandemic to expand his knowledge about sales through his extensive training.

AeroTime recently marked the one-year anniversary of its Women in Aviation campaign, where it highlighted stories of women who broke out into the aviation world and are now educating, inspiring and mentoring the next generation of female aviators.

AeroTime readers will be able to reach the Aeroclass partnership site from www.aerotime.aero and will be entitled to a 10% discount on all Aeroclass online training courses.
