Following AeroTime’s announcement last week of its first three Aviation Champions, to mark International Women’s Day and a year of our Women in Aviation campaign, we are now happy to announce our fourth Aviation Champion.

Pilot Amireh has been appointed in recognition of his online work to inspire the aviation industry, in particular the next generation of pilots, whether they are already in training or considering starting.

After being made redundant from Qatar Airways at the beginning of the pandemic, Pilot Amireh went about obtaining an EASA licence, which involved sitting and passing all 14 theoretical ATPL exams in 53 days. As any pilot who has sat these exams will know, this is no mean feat.

He pilots the A320 and A350 jets and is also a Type Rating Instructor, Examiner and Theoretic Knowledge Instructor.

Pilot Amireh has amassed over 500k followers on Instagram, over 250k on Facebook and over 120k subscribers on his YouTube channel. He produces diverse, impactful content for his followers, using his platform to inspire and inform pilots in training and those considering the profession.

Sharing the news with Pilot Amireh of his appointment as an AeroTime Aviation Champion, Richard Stephenson, Chief Executive and Editor in Chief of AeroTime said: “Pilot Amireh’s relentless positivity and determination to make the most of his time away from flying have inspired thousands of aspiring aviators around the world. He has effectively used social media to communicate the opportunities that piloting careers continue to offer to a worldwide audience and is determined to continue his work. He has been a genuine champion for our industry and thoroughly deserves this recognition.”

Pilot Amireh responded to his appointment, saying “I’m very honored and happy to be recognized as an Aviation Champion by AeroTime. The pandemic has taught me that we should never give up, but continue fighting for our dreams. The aviation community is stronger now than ever before. I’m looking forward to working with AeroTime as an Aviation Champion, continuing my work encouraging and supporting future generations of pilots.”

In December 2021, Pilot Amireh visited the AeroTime studio and sat down for an interview with the team, where he shared his “My Covid Story” as part of AeroTime’ campaign to support and encourage aviation professionals through the pandemic.

AeroTime looks forward to working with Pilot Amireh and our other Aviation Champions. Stay tuned for further Aviation Champion announcements.

Congratulations Pilot Amireh!
