Pakistan’s latest low-cost carrier Fly Jinnah has unveiled its brand identity on March 10, 2022.

Fly Jinnah, which is currently in the process of obtaining its Air Operator Certificate (AOC), is expected to take to the skies in 2022 after securing the necessary approvals from Pakistan’s Civil Aviation Authority to operate commercial passenger flights.

The newcomer selected a vibrant red as its main branding color “to reflect the young and modern spirit of the airline”, according to a statement from the airline.

The logo and branding consist of a round-shaped symbol that reflects “motion and continuity”, while the aircraft livery reflects “a modern airline that is aspiring, energetic, and constantly on the move,” the airline explained.

“The reveal of Fly Jinnah’s visual identity was chosen carefully to reflect the evolution and progression of aviation needs in Pakistan. Fly Jinnah will be a catalyst to the country’s economic growth,” Iqbal Ali Lakhani, the chairman of Fly Jinnah said in the statement.

Fly Jinnah, a low-cost subsidiary of UAE carrier Air Arabia, was first announced in September 2021 when Air Arabia formed a partnership with Pakistani conglomerate Lakson Group to launch a new budget airline. Fly Jinnah will serve both domestic and international destinations from its initial base in Karachi (KHI), in Pakistan.

“Fly Jinnah will serve the strategic vision of Pakistan’s travel and tourism sector and contribute to the country’s economic growth and job creation while providing Pakistanis with reliable and value for money air travel,” the airline’s LinkedIn profile claims.

The carrier is due to announce further details regarding its aircraft fleet size and network.
