Many airlines use LinkedIn to promote new routes, livery and services. Now one chief executive has used the platform to seek help in finding planes for a new airline.

AVA Airways, based in Santa Domingo in the Dominican Republic, is seeking leasing partners who can provide offers for four Airbus A320 aircraft, chief executive Olivier Arrindell posted on LinkedIn.

The airline is looking for A320NEO aircraft with GE CFM Leap engines or A320CEO aircraft with CFM engines, Arrindell said, adding AVA would accept mid-age aircraft.

“Step by step we are moving,” he commented.

AVA Airways plans to operate scheduled flights between Santo Domingo, North America, South America and other parts of the Caribbean.
