Florida-based leading company Azorra has signed a deal to buy 20 new Embraer E2 aircraft, the Brazilian manufacturer said on January 24, 2022.

Under the terms of the agreement, Azorra may buy either E190 or E195 aircraft, with deliveries set to begin in 2023. The deal, worth $3.9 billion at list prices, also includes purchase rights for a further 30 aircraft.

“We thank Azorra again for their selection of the E2, after recently completing a sale leaseback transaction with Porter Airlines for five new E195-E2 aircraft,” Arjan Meijer, CEO of Embraer Commercial Aviation, said in the statement.

Lessor Azorra already has 21 Embraer aircraft in its portfolio.

“This commitment underscores our belief in the E2; a modern aircraft family with superior economics and environmental performance, providing Azorra with a compelling opportunity to build a position of leadership in the markets we serve,” John Evans, Azorra CEO, declared in the statement.

Azorra has had a busy start to the year, having announced plans on January 10, 2022 to order 22 Airbus A220 aircraft.
