Three Israelis have been detained in Turkey for over a week after allegedly harassing an attendant on a Pegasus Airlines flight to Istanbul Airport (IST), a report from Times of Israel said.

Speaking to the Israeli news outlet, a family member of one of the men said that the group were laughing at the flight attendant while she was doing a safety briefing demonstration. The group of men also filmed her.

The flight attendant later asked the group to delete the video clip, and they complied. The group thought that had resolved things.

However, upon landing at IST airport, the flight attendant called the police and reported that she had been sexually harassed by the group.

The group was then handcuffed and taken for investigation. The relative said that nine people were detained in total, but six were released after the questioning.  The remaining three were sent to a detention center four hours outside of Istanbul.

The relative said that the Israeli Consulate in Istanbul advised them to be patient and to “not anger the Turks.”

The Foreign Ministry of Israel confirmed that the three are still in custody, but did not say when they were expected to be released.
