Peach Aviation, a low-cost arm of All Nippon’s Airways (ANA), announced that it took delivery of its first Airbus A321neo Long Range aircraft on December 20, 2021. This delivery also marks Peach Japan’s first Airbus A321neo LR aircraft operator.
Peach’s brand-new Airbus A321LR, registered as JA901P, is scheduled to serve routes between Osaka, Sapporo and Okinawa beginning January 18, 2022.

The new Airbus A321neo Long Range aircraft will add to the carrier’s existing fleet of five Airbus A320-200neos as well as 27 older generation Airbus A320-200 aircraft. The new aircraft is being leased from the Air Lease Corporation (ALC). This is the first A321neo LR delivery from two existing Peach’s orders.
By the end of 2025, the carrier plans to replace its older aircraft with more fuel-efficient A321neo LR and A320neo airplanes.
Peach’s A321neo LR is powered by CFM International’s LEAP-1A engine. It also has a layout of 218 seats and a range of 7,400 kilometers. In comparison, Peach’s older generation Airbus A320ceos have just 180 seats and a range of 6,200 kilometers.
“In addition to the introduction of new and environmentally friendly aircraft, we will actively promote environmental initiatives with the introduction of the A321LR, making an effort to reduce the environmental impact through improving our operations,” Peach Aviation CEO Takeaki Mori said.
