Emirates has revealed that a special Thanksgiving dinner option will be available on selected flights this holiday season.
The flag carrier of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) will offer a Thanksgiving-themed menu on November 24 and 25, 2021 to all its flights traveling between Dubai and destinations in the United States.
In a recent press release, Emirates lists the saliva-inducing sides offered to its First and Business class fliers. These include “Thanksgiving roasted turkey sliced and served with cranberry jus lié, mashed sweet potatoes, blanched broccolini, paprika potato wedges and honey-glazed pumpkin with crushed pecans”.
Economy class passengers will experience a slightly more modest option. However, the fare still includes roasted turkey with cranberry jus lié, chestnut roulade, green peas and mashed parsnip with carrots.
Those hopping on an Emirates Airbus A380 flight are in for another treat. The selection of desserts offered in the super jumbo’s lounge will also include marzipan topped pumpkin cupcakes for an additional Autumn feel.
The airline currently flies to 12 destinations within the US, including John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK), Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), and San Francisco International Airport (SFO). Following the easing of COVID-19 restrictions, the carrier has significantly expanded the number of routes it offers and has also increased the frequency of flights.
Emirates first offered a Thanksgiving-themed in-flight menu in 2017.
By announcing this offer, Emirates has become the second Middle-Eastern airline (and one of very few in the world) where travelers are able to enjoy a special Thanksgiving dinner in the sky.
