Parking garage fire at Dallas Fort Worth airport closes part of Terminal D

Terminal D at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) is now back in operation following a small fire at the terminal’s parking garage. The fire broke out at approximately 15:38 local time on October 18, 2021. In an emailed statement to AeroTime hub, DFW said that while there are no injuries reported, they can confirm that vehicles have been damaged.

By approximately 06:32 on October 19, 2021, DFW declared that the fire was under control and stated that Terminal D was partially operational. ​​

Almost two hours later at 08:27, DFW announced that the Terminal D parking garage had undergone inspection and that the impacted area had been cordoned off.

DFW told AeroTime Hub that the cause of fire remains unknown and is currently being investigated.
