Following Thailand’s decision to reopen the country, Thai Airways will be returning to the skies with most of the international services resuming on October 31, 2021 and November 1, 2021.

Thai Airways will reinstate full services to 36 international routes in Australia, Europe, and Asia, the airline’s executive vice president Nond Kalinta told Bangkok Post on October 14, 2021.

On October 11, 2021, Thailand’s government announced it will be reopening the kingdom to fully-vaccinated travelers arriving from low-risk countries starting November 1, 2021.

“I have instructed the CCSA and the Ministry of Public Health to urgently consider within this week to allow, as of Nov 1, international visitors to enter Thailand without any requirement for quarantine if they are fully vaccinated and arrive by air from low-risk countries,” the government’s Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha said in a national televised broadcast seen by the Bangkok Post.

At the heights of the COVID-19 pandemic, Thai Airways suspended almost all of its passenger operations. Since March 2020, Thai Airways has been operating a relatively modest flight schedule.
