Airbus delivered 40 aircraft to 25 customers in September 2021, the same number as in August, it announced on October 11, 2021.

The deliveries included the first of 60 A220 aircraft for Air France, Airbus noted.

That takes total deliveries so far this year to 424 aircraft to 74 customers, meaning the European manufacturer needs to deliver 176 planes in the final three months of the year to meet its 2021 target of 600 deliveries.

During September 2021, Airbus received just one order, for an ACJ319neo business jet from a private customer.

With the NBAA business jet show currently underway in Las Vegas, more business jet orders could follow. On October 11, 2021, as the show kicked off, Airbus announced that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with an undisclosed customer for an ACJ TwoTwenty, the first order for the type from the United States.

October’s order figures will also be boosted by a follow-on order from British leisure carrier Jet2 for A321neos.
