The brand new Airbus A320neo aircraft is the latest addition to Jazeera’s existing fleet of 15 aircraft. Currently, the airline operates eight Airbus A320-200s and nine Airbus A320neo aircraft.
The investment in new aircraft will help the carrier to expand its network to 50 destinations in 2022, when it foresees a “strong return” of travel demand to the pre-pandemic levels, the airline outlined in a statement.
“We’re investing in A320neo aircraft to enable Jazeera Airways to serve destinations located up to 6.5 hours from our hub Kuwait,” Jazeera Airways Chief Executive Officer Rohit Ramachandran said. “We have opened a number of new destinations this year, giving more travel choices for our customers.”
