Bye Aerospace, an American aircraft manufacturer specializing in designing electric aircraft, has announced that Rheinland Air Service (GmbH) has finalized the purchase agreements for five all-electric eFlyer 800 aircraft.

Rheinland Air Service (RAS) is a Germany-based Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) organization emerging to be one of the innovative players in the industry. RAS intends to be the MRO support to the eFlyer 800 aircraft and an ordained reseller in Germany, Switzerland, and Austria.

“We are proud to be investing in the future of sustainable aviation and to be supporting Bye Aerospace in the transformation of flying. The eFlyer 800, with its remarkable economy and flight performance, will support the European Market while balancing the amount of carbon emissions,” said Johannes Schaesberg, CEO of RAS.

Bye Aerospace announced the eFlyer 800 program earlier this year in feedback to expanding growth and demand for all-electric aircraft, which would significantly reduce operating costs and increase capacity and utility. Currently, the company is obtaining the FAA Part-23 certification for the eFlyer 2 for their professional flight training mission and eFlyer 4, a four-seater for air taxi and freighter testing.

Other than the advantages forecasted in the companies economics, benefits include reduced Carbon-emissions and decreased noise pollution.
